Evolve Kamado vs Kamado Bono: How They Compare

Two European ceramic grill brands compared: grate size, how each is sold, what comes included, and which suits which buyer.

Kamado Bono is one of the European ceramic brands people most often weigh against us, so here is the comparison written as fairly as we can manage while selling one of them.

What they have in common

More than separates them. Both are ceramic kamados with two-zone airflow, both cover searing, smoking and baking, and both are built around the same physics: a thick wall that stores heat rather than losing it. Neither is a reinvention of the category.

Both are also European propositions rather than American imports, which usually means shorter shipping and easier parts supply within the EU.

Where they differ

Size range. Kamado Bono builds across several sizes, from compact bodies up to large. Evolve builds one grate size — 51 cm, around 2,040 cm² — in two finishes. If you specifically want a smaller or a much larger body, Bono has options we do not.

How you buy. Evolve sells direct at published prices: EUR 749 for The Beauty solo, EUR 799 for The Beast. Bono sells through a distribution network, so the price depends on the reseller and is not usually listed up front.

What arrives. Evolve bundles heavily — a Chef Combo comes with the cart, side tables, cast iron grates, glazed pizza stone, tools and ash container from EUR 1,199. Where a competitor sells the grill and the accessories separately, compare the assembled total rather than the headline figure.

Where Kamado Bono is the better answer

If you want a size we do not build. A compact body for a balcony, or a very large one for entertaining, is simply outside our range.

If having a reseller you can visit matters. Direct sales mean no showroom, and for some buyers that is a genuine drawback rather than a saving.

Where Evolve is the better answer

Grate area per euro. 51 cm is at the upper end of the full-size class, and the price for it is published rather than quoted.

Buying complete. If you know you want the cart, the grates and the stone, the bundled sets cost less than assembling the same specification piece by piece.

And the warranty position: a limited lifetime warranty on the ceramic base and dome for the original owner, with the terms published rather than held at dealer level.

The honest summary

These are close products, and anyone telling you one is transformatively better than the other is selling. Decide on size, on whether you want a dealer relationship, and on what the complete setup costs once the accessories you actually want are in the basket.

Our buying guide lists the specifications worth comparing across any two brands, and the Evolve configurations are here.
